Pattra's love for yoga is reflected in her refreshing, yet relaxing teaching style, which is influenced by various forms of yoga, including the Astanga, Iyengar, and Anusara yoga disciplines. She is able to teach a variety of yoga classes, ranging from slow, detailed-oriented classes to strong, vinyasa, flow-style “power” yoga classes. She appeals to students of various abilities, from beginners to more experienced yoga practitioners.

When asked how yoga can bring her so much joy, Pattra responded:

“ Yoga is more than a physical practice, as you know. It is a physical practice, yes, that opens you up to the possibilities of unlimited love and compassion that is inherent within us all. And each time we do asana practice, we become a little more open. A little bit closer to realizing that inherent love and compassion. And what can be more joyful than that? To realize our own potential to love and be loved? Unconditionally. Perfectly. In spite of what our life experience has lead us to believe...  So, this is why I love the yoga. Because it helps me remember what is too easy to forget...”

Pattra currently teaches yoga in St. Louis, Missouri. Teaching yoga enables her to share the joy she has found through her own practice of yoga, and she would love to bring her teaching to anyone who wishes to learn with her. Pattra truly believes that through the practice of yoga, one can come closer to the realization of one's inner peace and one's inner strength.
